Solstice

The first day of Winter is here. I say this with tongue firmly planted in cheek. I won’t be going much of anywhere because of the nasty snow-ice mix we are receiving. 6 inches of snow fell overnight and switched to icy rain early this morning. We are supposed to get another 6 inches of snow and then up to 2 inches of freezing rain. I did my last bits of shopping yesterday and got everything in order in case we lose power. Freezing rain always sends me, and many others, into survival mode because of the lasting memories of Ice Storm 1998. If it does rain a lot, I hope to step out and take some beautiful pictures of the ice. For now, I will stay inside and edit.

Two of these are from yesterday as the snow started. The other is from earlier this month.
