Alicia’s first bloom

Last June, the theme for my bridal shower was a garden party. Guests were invited to bring something for my garden, either from theirs or otherwise, so I could include it and watch t grow. My dad’s sister brought this peony, noting that they were my Grandmaman’s favorite flower. I gave the plant a prime spot, front and center in my garden. After weeks of waiting to see what she had in store, I was rewarded with this gorgeous bloom yesterday afternoon.
